William “Bill” J. Kane, 74, Citrus Springs FL., passed away October 11, 2019. A celebration of his life will be from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Fero Funeral Home in Beverly Hills, FL. The funeral Mass will be held 10:30 am, Thursday October 17, at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 1401 West Country Club Boulevard, Citrus Springs FL., 34434. The final resting place will be 1:00pm at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue Bushnell, FL 33513. The US. Army Honor Guard will render honors to commemorate his military service to his country.
Bill was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. January 16, 1945 to Filomena (Falzone) and William C. Kane. A native New Yorker, proud resident of Long Island NY, mechanic by day and fisherman by night, he enjoyed his weekends boating, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was the guy you went to when you needed a tool, or needed help fixing something. Just as Norm would walk into “Cheers” and everyone would know his name, Bill enjoyed that same greeting over the years at the local Starbucks.
Bill was survived by his wife Theresa of 46 years, children: Lori & husband Tom, Arlene & husband Mike, Jaime & husband Ed, and Billy & wife Catherine, grandchildren: Jessica, Fiona, Ashley, Kaitlin, Allison, Eddie and Matthew, and great grandchildren Bentley & Wesley.
William was preceded in death by grandson Michael, “his best friend” by 5 months. May they both rest in peace (that is when they are not building, boating, fishing, or “tooling around.”)
