

Anna C. Mickle, age 92 of Trussville, AL passed away on July 31, 2024. She was a native of Brooklyn, NY and was born on January 11, 1932. Due to unforeseen circumstances her schooling was put on hold until she moved to Alabama and later graduated from Mortimer Jordan High School in Warrior, AL with the help of her husband and ambitious nature.
She worked for United Chair for thirty years before retiring. Anna was an extremely talented seamstress and perfected her skills in many areas throughout the years.
She enjoyed dancing and gathering with loved ones. Anna was a devoted Christian who loved the lord and serving others. She blessed the congregation with her voice when she sang in the choir of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. Anna was a spirited person with great tenacity and a bold spirit. She loved coffee and crackers. Her northern accent will remain in the hearts of those who loved her in life.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband, of 57 years, James “Jimmy” O. Mickle. She is survived by her loving daughter, JoAnna Falls; two granddaughters, Brooke Chelewski (Tom) and Candice “Peanut” Simmons; six great grandchildren, Austin Morris, Allisa Simmons, Vayden and Sydney Morris, Cody Simmons and Thomas “Tom” Chelewski.
A Celebration of Anna’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on August 3rd at Ridout’s Trussville with friends and family gathering from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A committal service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East in the Garden of Trinity.
