Anne G. Edge, 89, of Birmingham, AL, passed away the morning of Thursday, January 24, 2019, after a brief illness. She was born in Marianna, Florida. Anne was preceded in death in September 2011 by her loving husband, Hugh. She is survived by her sister Ethel (Gene) Pelt, two sons, Keith (Sandra), Mark (of Atlanta, GA); daughter Leigh Anne (Billy Mac); grandchildren Heather (Charles) Nelson, Anastassia Ignatieff, Brandon Hoops, Candice Hoops; great grandson Kane Pixler. Anne was an avid food enthusiast and always enjoyed finding new restaurants and sharing the joy of a meal with family and friends. Anne was also a past member of the Birmingham Opera Guild, The Club, and volunteered for many years with the Birmingham Symphony Decorators Show House. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home, with a celebration of life service following at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
