Annie Lee Henderson Cook was born in Whatley, AL to the late Edward and Rebecca Odom Henderson. She retired as a Unit Manager from the Justice Dept, Federal Bureau of Prisons after 27 years of service. She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 33 years. After Heavenly Father, nothing was more important to her than her family. She departed this life on December 12, a day filled with visits from family and friends. She is survived by her loving children Shirley A. Cook, Lexington, KY, Diane (Charles) Jackson, Evans, GA, and Kenneth (Beverly) Cook, Richmond Hill, GA; her sister, Alfreda Armstead, Bessemer, AL; grandchildren, Kendalyn (Kenneth) Green, Jacksonville, FL, Diana (Isjuan) Meeks, Duluth, GA, Kenneth (Julie) Cook II, Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, Ranesha Jackson, Jacksonville, FL, and Ashlee Cook, Atlanta, GA; great grandchildren CJ, Kalyn, Brenden, Landen and Miley; and a host of relatives and friends. Visitation: 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Friday, December 18 at Johns-Ridout's Elmwood Chapel 800 Dennison Ave SW. Service: 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 19 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 831 Briarwood Dr, Bessemer, Bishop Kenneth Kilgore, presiding. A visitation will be held at the church from 12:00 - 12:50 prior to the service.
