Ardis Luster, 94, most recently of Tarrant, AL passed away on Nov. 7, 2018. She was born Feb. 4, 1924 to Russell and Irene (Hawkins) Everett in Pinson, AL. Ardis was preceded in passing by her son Donald Everett Luster; and her siblings Raymond Everett, Claytie Howard, Price Everett, Malcolm Everett, Esther Headrick, Mack Everett, and Wallace Everett. She is survived by her children Diane Lowe (Jerry) and James Gaddis Luster; sister-in-law Janice Everett; 11 grandchildren - Nathan, Jesse, Jeremy, Patrick, Janelle, Kristi, and Kati Lowe, Ginny Eddings, Angela Johnson, and Daniel and Russell Luster; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and relatives.
Ardis leaves behind a legacy of hard work in order to provide for her family. At the age of 17, she began working in a beauty shop in order to help support her family. She later opened her own salon with a partner and was an owner and operator for over 40 years until 1986 (Key Circle Beauty Salon). Ardis was also passionate about fishing and gardening. She loved to dance, including the Jitterbug, square dancing, and ballroom style. She was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and Alabama football and rarely missed watching a game. Ardis lived a long, full life and will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
