Layfield, Arthur Lee “Butch”, age 57 of Clay, AL went home to be with the Lord on September 6, 2013. He was a beloved father. He is survived by three beautiful daughters, Andria Howell, Staci (Wes) Smith, and Tori (Zach) Gaston; grandchildren, Kylee and Laycee Davis, Ashlynn and Brody Howell, Ava and Levi Gaston; parents, Inell and Burgin Layfield, Sr.; brother, Burgin (Martha) Layfield, Jr.; sisters, Kay (Jimmy) Honeycutt, Rita Colley, and Rickie Miller and host of family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; brother-in-law, Bobby Miller; nephew, Zachary Miller. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 1 PM until service time at 2 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Bro.Kent McClendon officiating. Interment will follow at Lees Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Remlap, AL. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to The Blount County Saddle Club 702 Oak Grove Road Springville, AL 35126.
