Nell spent her lifetime taking care of people in various roles both professionally and personally. She loved to cook and always wanted to feed you. She loved to read the Bible and listen to gospel hymns. She had a deep abiding love for Christ and never hesitated to tell you how He took care of her.
She is preceded in death by her father John Chapman, mother Gertrude Chapman, spouse Terry W. Davis Jr, brothers George Allen Chapman and Billy Chapman and sister Mildred Parker.
She is survived by her son, Charles Douglas Davis (Penny) of Alabaster and grandchildren Sharon Davis Brasher (Kevin) of Chelsea and Terry Defreeze Davis of Alabaster, and 6 great-grandchildren as well as Sister Dinia Jo Chapman Madjid (Nur) of McCalla, AL and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 4th at John-Ridout's Mortuary-Elmwood Cemetery.
