Brannum, Barbara Ingram, age 90, of Birmingham passed away Friday, March 25, 2016. She was a member of Bluff Park United Methodist Church, active with the Shephard’s Center, a member of the Birmingham Quilters Guild, and an avid Auburn fan. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Joe S. Brannum and her son Dudley Brannum. She is survived by her sons, Wayne (Gwen) Brannum of Pelham and Steve (Karen) Brannum of Hoover; daughter –in-law, Charlotte Brannum; grandchildren, Melissa (Robert) Austin, Mendy (Forrest) Walden, and Lori (Ben) Hunter; great grandchildren, Mallory, Mackenzie, and Madison Austin, and Caroline, Brooke, David, and Benjamin Walden and Addie, Lilli, and Cami Hunter; sisters-in-law Yvonne DeLoach, Tunnie Beckham, and Ann Brannum, and several nieces and nephews. Her graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2016 at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in loving memory of Barbara to The Shephard’s Center c/o Bluff Park United Methodist Church. Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel is directing.
