CLEM, BARBARA JEAN, age 85 of Vestavia Hills, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 18, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Wesley Clem; daughter, Diane Clem Cannon; and son-in-law, Joey Cannon. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Clem Jones (Barry), Darlene Clem Hinson (Don) and Denise Clem Black (Bill); sisters, Vivian Kesler and Sharon Landers; brother-in-law, John Wesley Clem; grandchildren, Jason Cannon (Lauren), Meredith Black Smith (Andrew), Mitchell Jones (Alex), Leigh Ellen Black Howe (Jesse), Rachael Jones Dyas (Garrett), John Michael Hinson, Anna Claire Black Zylstra (Jason) and Matthew Hinson (Erin); and great-grandchildren, Luke Grayson Cannon, Graham Joseph Cannon, William Garrett Dyas III and Lyla Jane Smith; and she was anxiously awaiting the arrival of Brody Glenn Zylstra. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, and true friend to many through the years. God blessed her with an incredible gift of nurturing that made each and every one of her loved ones feel special. She unselfishly served and encouraged her family and taught them to love God and enjoy his creation. She was the quintessential homemaker. She had a green thumb and gardening gave her great pleasure. Her unfailing love and faith will continue in the hearts of her cherished family. Her family will celebrate her life with visitation on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 10-11 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with her service beginning at 11:00. Burial will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery.
