CRANE, BARBARA BURGESS, age 77, of Center Point, passed away Monday, October 10, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommie and Jewell Burgess. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Hoyt Crane; son, Thomas Michael Crane (Kathy); daughter, Melanie Crane; brothers, John and Donald Burgess; grandchildren, Burgess Michael Crane, Lacey Katelyn Crane and Kimble Robert Crane; great-granddaughter, Emory Faith Crane ; special adopted sisters, Liz Roberts and Jane Roby; and numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Center Point and very active with the choir. The family gives special thanks to Dr. Hugh O’Shields and nursing staff of SICU at Trinity Medical Center for their loving care. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from 5:30-8 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. There will be a graveside service on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Union Methodist Church Cemetery in Wellington, AL beginning at 11 AM.
