In fond memory of Barry V. Alford, Sr., aged 70, of Birmingham, Alabama. Barry passed away peacefully on September 9, 2024, at home with his wife by his side and went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ. Born on December 11, 1953 in Las Vegas, Nevada, he was preceded in death by his parents, B. A. Alford, Jr. and Betty Alford.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Pamela Alford; two children, Gina (Mike) Marion of Foley, Alabama and Barry Alford, Jr. (Melissa) of Greenville, Alabama; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Rod Alford (Amy) and Trip Alford (Joyce), both of Birmingham, Alabama; loving sister and brother in-laws, Sandra Allen (Lin) of Montgomery, Alabama and Robert Cooper (Robin) of Birmingham, Alabama; and many adoring nieces and nephews.
Barry led a full life to the age of 70, forty-two years of which were spent with the love of his life and constant companion, Pam. He had an ardent love for playing the piano, an enormous passion for cars, and a real affection for art and music. Barry wants to be remembered as a Christian, husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend.

A visitation for Barry will be held Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Johns-Ridout's Mortuary-Elmwood Chapel, 800 Dennison Ave Sw, Birmingham, AL 35211, followed by a celebration of life at 10:30 AM.
