Bearden, Betty Jo Mize, Age 82. Died Wednesday, January 17th, 2024 at Bibb County Nursing Home after a long illness. She retired from Wells Fargo Bank in 2008 after 40 years of service. Betty graduated from West End High School in 1960. She attended Centreville Presbyterian Church. She was a past member of Birmingham Professional Women’s Association.
Betty is survived by her sister, Flora Steele; sister-in-law Jennifer Mize and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed!
She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy M. Bearden; her mother and father Mary Lee and H.W. Mize and her brother, Ronald E. Mize.
There will be a graveside service only on Monday January 29th, 2024 2pm at Elmwood Cemetery; Johns Ridout's Elmwood Chapel and Inhabit Hospice officiating. All attendees are requested to meet at Johns Ridout's Elmwood Chapel (800 Dennison Ave. SW, Birmingham, AL 35211), to line up for the procession to the graveside.
