A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Betty lived a life of faith, service, and love. She was a longtime member of Meadow Brook Baptist Church and a past member of Huffman Baptist Church. For more than 40 years, she faithfully taught kindergarten and school-age children in her churches, leaving a lasting impact on countless young lives.
Betty was married to the late Ed Bevill for 44 years, cherishing their life together until his passing. She was deeply dedicated to her family, staying home to raise her children and later delighting in her role as “Nana”.
A gifted seamstress, Betty found joy in creating gifts for family and friends. Her church loved and cared for her well, and we are deeply grateful!
She is survived by her daughter, Jo Hebson (Tim), and son, Eddie Bevill (Laura); grandchildren, Lucy Ibarra (Eric), Max Bevill, Victoria Keeler (Jonathon), and Billy Bevill (Claire); four great-grandchildren, Margot, Frances, Simeon and Mary; nephews Brad, Chad and Thad Key. Betty will be remembered for her kindness, devotion to the Lord, and her boundless love for her family.
A service celebrating Betty’s life will be held Sunday, October 12 at 4 pm at Meadow Brook Baptist Church in Birmingham. A time of visitation will follow. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Meadow Brook Baptist Church, 4984 Meadow Brook Road, Birmingham, Alabama 35242.
