Betty Joyce Worley Doss-Hammett

Betty Joyce Worley Doss-Hammett, age 87 of Trussville, the most hardworking, fun loving and caring mother ever born, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Bob Doss and Lawrence Hammett; parents, Clyde Worley and Gladys Stisher; sister, Sue Smith; children, Beverly, Bobby and Pam Doss; and great-grandchild, Helen Marie Gray. She is survived by her daughter, Donna McKinstry (Tom); son, Lee Alan Possum Doss; grandchildren, John Doss, Kristy Gray, Naomi Doss and Constance Honeycutt (Tim); great-grandchildren, Skylar Thompson, Jade Gonzalez, Braxton League and Meredith Honeycutt. With a career in sales, she excelled at Stanley Home Products, Farm Bureau, Life of Georgia, Parisians and Macy’s, always with a smile. She was well loved and loved well, she surely will be missed until we meet again. Her family will celebrate her life with visitation of Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 1-2 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with her service beginning at 2:00. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Mask are recommended.
