Betty Cecile Fannin 95, passed away January 10, 2024 at home with family at her side. She lived her life for her family and how appropriate for them to be there as she left this earthly home to enter her eternal home in Heaven.
Betty was born August 2, 1928 in Birmingham, Alabama to Henry Aubrey and Cecile Dale Fannin. She was the matriarch of her family. She spent her entire life caring for the needs of those she loved the most. There was never a time when she wasn’t available to or for the needs of her people, as she called them. She also extended this kindness to her friends. If she thought they had a need, she would step in to assist them in any way she could. To total strangers, she often gave as well. She loved hard and was the most faithful and loyal person to have in your life. She was a living example of Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions, joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue, faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit.
Betty leaves behind her sister, Mae Rose Hallum (Bill), nieces, Michele Holden (Neal), Ava Hallum, Lisa Arrington (Bobby), nephews Mark Hallum, Casey Fannin (Andrea), great niece Bethany Edgeworth (Barrett), great nephew’s Matthew Holden (Jessica), Mark Allin Hallum (Erin), Chris Hallum (Morgan), Elijah Hallum, Brandon (Leanne) great, great nieces Laura Beth Edgeworth, Leah Edgeworth, great, great nephew’s Cole Edgeworth, Sawyer Holden, Ridge Hallum, Thorne Hallum, Barrett Arrington.
