Billie Joyce Baker age 82 went to be with her Savior and Lord Tuesday February 17, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years William F. Baker, Jr. and sister Ruth Marie Dawson. Ms. Baker is survived by her children Diann Peoples (Wayne), Laurie Clifton (Steve), Allison Sowell (Charles) and Kathi Holcomb (Barry); grandchildren Megan, Caleb, Matthew, Nathan, Ben, Abby, Sarah, Sam and Gabe; brother Thomas Lowery and sister-in-love Joan Lowery ; sister Nancy Trull and a host of nieces and nephews. She was a faithful member of North Park Baptist Church for thirty years. She was a labor and delivery nurse until her retirement in 1998. She enjoyed reading and writing poetry. Most of all she loved her family. Visitation will be at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel Sunday February 22, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Services will be at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel Monday February 23, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Dr. Bill Wilkes officiating.
