Billie Pyle

Billie Wolene Pyle, 80 went to be with her Lord on Friday, October 7, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Myrtle Carroll, two brothers, Jimmy and Howard Carroll. A Pell City native, Mrs. Pyle was an artist with a wide range of talents from making porcelain dolls, that included the clothing, to growing exotic flowers in her green houses that she and Walter operated. Billie was a certified doll instructor and enjoyed helping others to learn the craft. Before her illness, Wolene took an active part in the Overton Baptist Church as a Sunday School Teacher and really enjoyed singing in The Glory Master’s Quartet, with Walter and their son. She is survived by her husband, Walter Pyle of 55 years, two sons, Richard (Carol) Pyle, Dwayne (Selida) Carroll, a brother, Jerry Carroll, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Her Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2011 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with burial following in Forest Crest Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
