Billy Walton Jones of Birmingham, Alabama, or as he used to say, " so far on the wrong side of the tracks, you couldn't hear the train whistle", has passed away as of June 2, 2015. Since his birth , April 8, 1928 he earned his degree from the Atlanta School of Law and met a girl from the other side of the tracks. Billy and Barbara moved throughout the southeast in the years following their marriage but eventually settled in Bluff Park Alabama to raise their two children. Barbara has been waiting impatiently for Billy to join her for the past two years. They are now reunited in Heaven. Billy is survived by his daughter Karen Terp and her husband David, and his son Blake and his wife Nina. He leaves behind six grandchildren: Lisa Frederick ( Sam), Andrew Terp , Matthew Terp (Dayla ), Lindsey Mirabito (Jason ), Lauren Jones and Chad Jones ( Katy). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren: Gavin Terp, Tommy Frederick, Madeline Terp, Dominic Mirabito and Carter Terp. His sixth great- grandchild , Carson Power Jones, is on his way to join this amazing family that Billy has left for them. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel , Saturday , June 6 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. with service immediately following.
