Bobbie M. Chapman

Bobbie Sue Hatcher Massey Chapman (April 29, 1939 – June 23, 2016). was preceded in death by her beloved first husband of 27 years, Robert Fred “Bob” Massey, beloved second husband, Guy Perry Chapman, Jr., mother, Ruby Wright Hatcher Trower, father, Joseph Pate Hatcher, step-father, Roscoe Trower, and son-in-law, Jerry James.

Bobbie is survived by her three daughters, Susan James, Patti Mordecai (Dennis), and Sandy Hess (John), seven grandsons, Adam Mordecai, Christopher James, Jonathan James, Blake Hess, Ryan Mordecai, Robert Hess, Andrew Hess, and great granddaughter, Emma Grace Mordecai.

Bobbie was a member of Crestway Baptist Church. She dedicated most of her life to raising her family and in later years worked as a bank teller at PNC Bank. She was a devoted Auburn football fan, an animal lover who dearly loved her dog, a poodle named Piper.

An open reception will be held at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery.
