Bobby Stalnaker

Bobby Lamar Stalnaker, age 90, went to be with our Lord on January 23, 2023. He was born in Birmingham on April 11, 1932. His parents were Carey Lee Stalnaker and Lula Dana Caughran Stalnaker of Birmingham. Bob graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1950. He attended Howard University and graduated from Jefferson State. He was a former member of Argo Presbyterian and Cross Point Baptist Church. He retired from the Birmingham Fire Department after 34 years. He lived a life of service to others and was a wonderful husband, father, and grandpa. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife of 41 years, Mary Ann Boutwell Stalnaker. He was also predeceased by seven brothers and sisters – John, Pete, Joe, Caroline, Tom, Shirley, and Don. He is survived by his wife, June Stalknaker; his children, Danny (Suzanne) Stalnaker, Don (Lisa) Stalnaker; his grandchildren, Lauren (Laramie) Kelley, Mike (Hannah) Stalnaker, Ellis (Traylee) Stalnaker; and 5 great-grandchildren, Evie, Remi, Asher, Alora Grey, and Kerry Ann; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 10-11am, at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel on Thursday, January 26. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am following the visitation, at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Blanket Fort Hope, 250 Commerce Pkwy Pelham AL 35124 in honor of Bob.
