Brenda Sue Sharp

SHARP, BRENDA, age 70 of Trussville, left us March 27, 2019 to occupy her forever home with Jesus, her mother and father, Gladys Creel Sharp and Silas Edrie Sharp; sister, Carol Jean Sharp; brothers, Amon Carl Sharp (Emily) and Milford Glen Sharp (Mary). She left her sisters, Londalene “Lonnie” Stein (Red), Eddie Lee “Edie” Sharp, Barbara Jeanette Teer (Richard) and Elizabeth Marie Farr (Allen); and several nieces and nephews. Brenda attended Kennedy and Gibson Schools and when she graduated from Woodlawn High School she went to work for Southern Bell. She transferred to AT&T in New York in her early twenties and continued her education at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, graduating Summa Cum Laude. After retiring from AT&T, she moved to Delaware and when it became apparent that she suffered from Alzheimer’s she came back to Birmingham. She joined South Roebuck Baptist Church and this is where her funeral will be on Monday, April 1, 2019 with Dr. Gary Fisher officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 AM with the service at 11 AM. The family gives special thanks to a number of dedicated caregivers among those Jennie, Jamelle and Robin.
