GREENWOOD, CARL, age 72 of Birmingham formerly of Virginia, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Betty Greenwood; son, John Greenwood (Maryellen); brother, Everett Greenwood (Ellen); sister, Becky Howdershelt (Donnie); stepchildren, Terri Sweat (Don), Perry Nichols, Derrick Nichols (Cari), Felicia Rodenbarger (Robert), Tabatha Nichols and Tiffany Henderson (Daryl); and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carl was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He retired from the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Centerpoint Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite and The First Baptist Church of Chalkville. His family will receive friends on Thursday, April 25, 2013 from 5-6 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 6 PM with Bro. Joel Farrow officiating followed by Masonic services. Additional services and final resting place will be in Summerduck, VA.
