Carol Ann Miranda Pilleteri age, 67 passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 19, 2018 after a short, but hard fight and battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony Joseph Miranda and Jennie Mundi Miranda. She was a 1969 graduate of John Carroll Catholic High School. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Along with her husband of 47 years, Charles, she helped build and establish “Mr. P’s Butcher Shop and Deli,” Alabama Home Products and multiple family businesses that still thrive today, all while working at Joe Jolly Company for over 30 years. She loved to travel, loved Panama City Beach Florida and most of all, she loved her grandchildren. She was the best NaNa ever! Survivors include her husband, Charles Joseph Pilleteri of Vestavia Hills; son, Christopher Michael Pilleteri (Heather M’lle) and daughter, Toni Pilleteri Kennedy (William Scott); 7 grandchildren, Austin, Evan and Caitlin Dixon, Jennie Kennedy, Taylor, Jacob and Hailey Pilleteri; she was the baby of four Miranda children and a loving sister to her three surviving brothers, Joseph, Anthony and James Miranda; she also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and a large extended family to cherish her memory. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Homewood, AL with a Funeral Mass following at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
