Posey: Carole McDowell Posey, age 75, a resident of Forestdale, AL, passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, June 21, 2017. Mrs. Posey was born February 4, 1942 in Birmingham, AL. She was a graduate of Misses Howards School for Girls and attended Alverson Draughn Business College. Carole was employed by McGowen & McGowen, Attorneys for 40 years and later was employed by A. Allen Ramsey, Attorney and Ronald F. Thompson, Attorney. She is preceded in death by her parents Mary McDowell and Harry McDowell, Sr. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Thomas Riley Posey; Sons Thomas Alan Posey and his wife, Carolyn of Kimberly, AL; and Samuel Riley Posey Atlanta, GA; and brother Harry McDowell, Jr. and his wife Jackie, Birmingham, AL; and grandson Riley Alexander Posey, Kimberly, AL; step-granddaughter Ashley Marie Hickman Birmingham, AL; and many nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation and a private burial will be held for the immediate family.
