

Carolyn Ford Brady, 92, died peacefully on January 27, 2025 at a Birmingham Hospital. She was a Leap Year Baby, born February 29,1932, in Jefferson County, Alabama. Carolyn was the daughter of Henry Howard Ford and Lucy Vela (Sharit) Ford.
Upon graduation from Mortimer Jordan High School, Carolyn was excited to enter the workforce. Her last employment was with Alagasco in Birmingham, Alabama. Carolyn was one of the Founding Members of the Western Youth Christian Athletic Organization, an organization that mentored young boys and girls through cheerleading and sports. Her hard work and dedication contributed to creating future leaders in our communities, providing college scholarships for coaches and winning performances for the participants in high school and college.
She loved traveling with family and friends. Carolyn enjoyed planting flowers inside and outside of her home. She could make any plant grow.
She was an excellent cook and her family and friends enjoyed everything she baked. She will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband, Robert Harold Brady, Sr., and her daughter, Donna Carol Brady.
Carolyn is survived by her brother, Henry Nelson Ford and his wife, Frances, from Crown Point, Indiana; son, Robert Harold Brady, Jr. and his wife, Jan; grandchildren, Robert Harold Brady III, Katie Brady Hubbard and her husband, Robby; great grandchildren Robert Harold Hubbard III and Delaney Harlow Hubbard, all from Birmingham, Alabama.
A Graveside Service for the family will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Oakland Memorial Gardens in Ensley, Alabama.
