Carolyn Jeanne Whitson, age 58 of Adamsville/Birmingham, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015. She was preceded in death by her beloved mom, Edna Whitson. She is survived by her daughter whom she loved so much and was very proud of, Lauren Herron (Tony), her grandchildren, Peyton and Samantha Herron; her dad, Bob Whitson (Ann); her sisters, Dorothy Carpenter (Ed), Tina Cox, and Debbie VanderMolen (Robert); brothers, Jim Whitson (Kathie) and Teddy Whitson; nephews, Steve Carpenter, J. Hardy Whitson, Matt Whitson, Sterling Noble, Nick Sherman; niece, Jennifer Whitson; great nephews, Malahki and Lucien Noble and Colton Sherman; her moody cat, Chloe and many cousins and friends. Carolyn had a huge heart and loved unconditionally. She adored children, the elderly and always fed stray cats. She would give you the shirt off of her back if you needed it. Everyone was a friend. Carolyn was loved by many and will be missed by us all. Rest in peace dear Carolyn. You are finally free. The family will receive friends at Elmwood Chapel from 10:00 to 11:00 am on July 20, 2015 with a graveside service to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
