HIGGINBOTHAM, CHALMERS W. "CHUCK", age 81, of Palmerdale, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Shane. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Elizabeth Higginbotham; two loving brothers and sisters; daughter, Susan Dunnavant and husband of Birmingham; five step-children, Ronnie Burleson and wife of Moody, Brenda Pusser and husband of Texas, Michael Burleson and wife of Odenville, Sandra Harris and husband of Argo, and Linda Bradshaw and husband of Pell City; sixteen grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren. Chuck was a retired veteran and longtime employee of National Can. Inc. He was a loving and caring husband and father and will be missed dearly by all. Chuck may be gone but he will never be forgotten. His family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 from 5-7 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. His service will be at the chapel on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 beginning at 11 AM with Bro. Billy Abrams officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Church Cemetery.
