Charles David “Dave” Adderhold, 81, went home to be with Jesus on July 19, 2024. He was born September 22, 1942 to Charles Henry Adderhold and Gloria Morris Adderhold. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Danny Thomas; son, David Andrew “Andy” Adderhold. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carolee Jones Adderhold; children, Kimberly Adderhold Troughton (Russell) and Charles Scott Adderhold; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Ann Adderhold Black (John); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dave served in the US Navy. He was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to hunt and fish. But above all else, he loved the Lord. As soon as he met someone he would ask “Where do you go to church?”
Dave met his beloved wife in the 5th grade. She says he chased her until he caught her, and he never let her go. She said she didn’t run very fast, though.
There will be a Celebration of Dave’s life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the North Shelby Baptist Church Mission Fund.
