Charles Dean

Charles William Dean, age 86, of Birmingham, AL passed away on May 15, 2024. He was a native of Pinson, AL. He was born on May 7, 1938 to James Dean and Belle Hobson Dean. Charles graduated from Tarrant High School. He then went on to attend the University of Alabama and then graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Masters in Engineering. He was a longtime member of Irondale United Methodist. While serving in the Alabama Army National Guard he achieved rank of Master Sargent. He was honorably discharged after 30 years of service. Charles was preceded in death by his late wife, Faye Lee Thornhill Dean and his second wife, Ann Bain Dean; his parents; a daughter, Laura Dean. He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Dean Columbia and Leigh Ann Buzyniski; his grandson, William Bernard Buzyniski. A visitation for family and friends will be held at Ridout’s Chapel in Trussville on Tuesday, May 21st at 1:30 p.m. the Chapel service will begin at 2:00 p.m. A committal service will immediately follow at Marvin’s Chapel in Pinson.
