A man of quiet strength and genuine kindness, Charles leaves behind a legacy of love, integrity, and treasured memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Born on August 25, 1942, Charles lived a life rooted in service, hard work, and commitment to the things he loved most. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard out of Fort McClellan, a chapter of his life that reflected his sense of duty and patriotism. He was a graduate of West End High School and later earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Auburn University, a school he remained loyal to throughout his life as an enthusiastic Auburn football fan.
Charles enjoyed life’s simple and meaningful pleasures. He loved camping, riding motorcycles, attending Auburn football games, and going to church. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Remlap, where his faith was an important part of who he was. Professionally, Charles built a respected career as an insurance agent with HRH, where he served others with dedication and professionalism.
Above all else, Charles loved his family. Nothing brought him greater joy than time spent with those he loved, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. He also had a special place in his heart for his beloved fur babies, Mr. T., Buster, Prissy, Ralphie, Anna, and Sam, who brought him companionship, comfort, and countless smiles.
Charles was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Vincent Molay and Mar Louise Nelson Molay, and his brother-in-law, James Walter Daniel, Sr.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary R. Molay, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship; his children, Robert Bradford Molay (Tina), Jeffery Dale Craven, Sr. (Patsy), Dewey Gregory Craven (Edi), and Pamela Gail Sessler; and his cherished grandchildren, Misty Sheree Darmer, Jeffrey Dale Craven, II (Sarah), Dylan Sessler, Hannah Sessler, Kendall Molay (Jessica), Jeremy Molay (Abbie), and Savannah Tally (Peyton); and sister, Judith Louise Molay Daniel.
