Charles A. Simpson, age 81, of Pinson passed away Friday January 1, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents George Gowin and Tommie Nell Simpson; three brothers; six sisters; and infant son Charles A. Simpson, Jr.
Charles is survived by his wife of 58 years Jeannie Simpson; daughters Kay McCarty (David) and Robyn Hontzas (Arther); grandson Joshua McCarty (Shelly); granddaughter Chloe Hontzas; and two great-grandchildren William and Nicholas McCarty; sister Nell Hall (James); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday January 4, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 12:30 PM. Interment will be in Forest Crest Cemetery.
