Charlotte graduated from Jones Valley High School and went on to dedicate much of her professional life to serving others as a secretary at a nursing home. Her work reflected her compassionate spirit and commitment to helping those in need.
A devoted member of Pelham Church of God, Charlotte’s Christian faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She found great joy in worship and fellowship with her church community.
Charlotte had a deep love for nature and spent countless hours tending to her garden. Flowers and plants brought her immense happiness, and she nurtured them with the same care she gave to those around her. Her affection extended to all creatures—she truly loved animals of every kind.
Above all else, Charlotte cherished her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, and friend whose warmth touched many lives. She is survived by her brother Michael Cowart; sister Betty Schwarzkopf; sister-in-law Kathy Cowart (Eddie) daughters Susie Lacy, Chari Britnell (Rick), and Janie Thompson (Ken); step-sons JR Cooper (Paula) and Randy Cooper; as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry forward her legacy of love.
She was preceded in death by her husband O.S. Cooper Jr., father Horace B. Cowart; mother Nettie Lee Cowart; brother Eddie Cowart; and son Victor Hughey.
May the memory of Charlotte Cooper bring comfort and peace to all who knew and loved her.
