CLYTIE W BRITNELL

Passed away on June 25, 2020

CLYTIE W BRITNELL, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on Thursday June 25, 2020. She was a lifelong member of Huffman Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities, including teaching Sunday School and kindergarten. Tee was a lovely lady that touched the lives of many people. A selfless, loving mother & grandmother. What brought her the most joy was doing for others, always faithful to do God’s work & a true servant. She will be loved and missed greatly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert E. Britnell & parents Ida & Roy Wright. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Melinda Britnell Ashby(Barry), sons, Michael C. Britnell(Sonja) & Richard E. Britnell(Helen). Grandchildren, Craig Britnell(Julia), Allie Britnell & Sullivan Britnell. Special thanks to the nurses at Compassus Hospice & Dr. Guy Patterson & his nurse Penny for their kind & loving care. In lieu of flowers, send memorials to Huffman Baptist Church. A private graveside service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.

Aunt Clytie was so special to me! She cared for me after school when l was a little girl. Our neighbor on Barnisdale Road, she always made me feel like l belonged in her home! She was a wonderful friend to my mother Lena, and l will always treasure memories of her. Praying for all of you, Mike, Melinda, and Richard. She was a precious lady.

Clytie was a wonderful kindergarten teacher . My children all had her . I visited with her a few months ago . She knew me and remembered my kids . She ask about what they were doing now . She told me so cute stories about each my kids . She was a prayer warrior and loved to talk about the Lord . She will be missed .I want to tell her family how sorry I was to hear about her death . She was true and faithful sevant of the Lord .
