Cornelia M. Cole

COLE, CORNELIA MORGAN THOMPSON, age 90, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014. She was a past resident of Roebuck Springs and most recent a resident of The Village at Cook Springs. She was preceded in death by her spouses, Fred Thompson and Howard Cole; daughter, Shirley Thompson McKinney; daughter-in-law, Jody Goodman Thompson; one brother and two sisters. She is survived by her son, Richard Thompson; granddaughters, Krista Thompson Samples (Craig), Stephanie Thompson Morgan (Jim) and Misty McKinney Chandler (Don); great-grandchildren, Hunter Samples, Brady Morgan, Jackson Morgan, Cooper Morgan, Rhys Morgan, Caroline Chandler, Zack Chandler and Peyton Chandler; son-in-law, Buddy McKinney; and sister, Francis Taylor. Ms. Cole was a memer of Tarrant Rock Methodist Church. The family wishes to thank the staffs at The Village at Cook Springs and Oasis Hospice for their care for Ms. Cole. Her family will receive friends on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 1-2 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. There will be a graveside service at Forest Hill Cemetery beginning at 2:30. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimers Foundation.
