What a small world was always what Beth and I used to say. My sisters Donna and Freda introduced us on a blind date. When we arrived to go to a movie, I introduced Beth and we all realized Craig had gone to elementary and high school with Beth and her brother. That was the beginning of many laughter filled days with the Rice and Casey families as Beth and I went on to marry.

In the most challenging situations, Craig had a way of lifting his brows, smiling and then finding some way to make the room brighten a little with a humorous quip.

Freda, his wife, was the light of his life and while Craig may have passed to return home to Our Lord and Father, he will always be held in loving memory by us all.

The Catholic faith which Craig held close has a lovely prayer on his passing that we pray today in honor of Craig.

Prayer for The Eternal Rest

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light
shine upon them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Peace be with you, Craig

Craig could make anyone laugh. He brought laughter wherever he went.

My fondest memories of Craig are from family get togethers. He could entertain the kids endlessly with stories from his childhood. And he would share his passion and knowledge on a long list of topics with the adults - cars, tools, movies, history, science fiction, family recipes, the list goes on. You would never get bored around him. Even through his sickness, he did his best to remain cheerful and bring joy and laughter to everyone around him. He was one of a kind and we will all miss him. We love you Craig. Rest in peace.

Losing Craig has been heartbreaking, he was my everything. My husband could always spark a laugh in others. I have heard many say, "you always make my day when you come in". He liked the simple things in life, always preferring hamburger to steak. His catholic faith was important to him. He grew up in the church and was a alter boy when he was young. Until we meet again, my love, you will be deeply missed.
