Crawford Emory George

Crawford Emory George, 86, of Trafford, AL went to be with the Lord on June 10, 2018. He was born to the late Emory and Hallie George on November 19, 1931 in Alabama. Crawford was preceded in passing by his daughter, Linda George, and his brother, Richard L. George. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 64 years, Faye George; daughters Brenda George Worsham and Nancy George Harding (Randale); sister Joyce George Hutchins; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Crawford was a devout Christian. He loved to serve the Lord and did such in many ways, including through his involvement with music ministry at many churches throughout his lifetime and within youth ministry. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955. Crawford worked as a Project Manager for Bechtel Corporation for nearly 30 years. He took his work seriously and was highly skilled in his career. Crawford traveled for his work domestically and internationally. He loved his family and while he could be stern, he was always a loving father to his daughters. Crawford was also an avid fan of Crimson Tide football. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Visitation Tuesday, June 12 from 5 - 7 pm at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, 1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235. Service Wednesday, June 13 at 11 am at the funeral home officiated by Brother Sam Hollis. Burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East, Trussville, AL following service.
