May 21, 1919 - May 19, 2016 Mrs. Daisy Lee Shelton Davidson of Clay, Alabama passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016 at St. Martin's Nursing Home in Irondale, Alabama. She was two days shy of her 97th birthday. Daisy was a loyal and steadfast member of Clay United Methodist Church for thirty years. Mrs. Davidson was preceded in death by her husband Murl Leamon Davidson; parents Temple C. Shelton and Bessie Wharton Shelton of Liberty, Alabama; brother James E. Shelton of Jacksonville, Alabama; and sister Virginia Timmons of Panama City, Florida. She is survived by sons Keith Davidson of Clay, Alabama and Stephen (Anne) Davidson of Hoover, Alabama; grandchildren Sheryl Davidson, Nathan Davidson, Lauren DeVlaming, and Meredith Drennen; and great-grandchildren Finn DeVlaming and Eva Marie Davidson. Visitation is scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Johns Ridout's Trussville Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM with interment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
