Daniel Joe Newman, age 73, of Helena, Alabama passed away at home after a long illness, on Sunday, October 22, 2023. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lucille Newman; brother, Donnie Newman. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 50 years, Karen H. Newman; son, Kenny Newman (Rachel); grandchildren, Kinsley and Ella Kate; brother, Larry Newman (Pam); sister, Janice Newman; sister and brother in-love, Kathy and Randy Maze; niece, Teri Cox; nephew, Ryan Newman.
Danny was loved and will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
A visitation for Daniel will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Johns-Ridout's Mortuary-Elmwood Chapel, 800 Dennison Ave Sw, Birmingham, AL 35211. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Elmwood Cemetery & Mausoleum, 600 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Birmingham, AL 35211.
Danny's favorite color was red, the family requests that everyone wear red (Alabama) in his honor.
