Danny Ray Jowers, Sr. age 61 of Hoover, AL passed away Monday, April 2, 2012. He was a builder and developer doing business not only locally, but also in the Talladega/ Lincoln area. Mr. Jowers was a longtime member of the Alabama Homebuilder’s Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Clyde and Mildred Hallman Jowers. He is survived by his wife of almost 34 years, Rosemary Scatura Jowers; son, Danny Ray Jowers, Jr. (Amy) of Cullman; daughters, Toni Bellina (Phil) of Birmingham, and Jodi Poole (Ron) of Pelham; grandchildren, Morgan and Trey Jowers of Cullman; Michael, Lauren, and Elizabeth Bellina; Lori and Gina Tombrello of Birmingham; brothers, Vernon Jowers of Clanton, and Earl Jowers (Kay) of Birmingham; sister, Juanita Brumbeloe, Jane Bonham (Gary) of Pleasant Grove, and Kay Shell (Ronnie) of Destin, FL; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel from 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 11:00 am at Elmwood Chapel with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
