Ann was preceded in death by her parents, William Hurston Thompson and Alice Guest Thomson, and her sister, Sarah Fay Thompson.
A graduate of The University of Alabama, Ann was a devoted Alabama football fan. She dedicated 49 years of her life to education before retiring from Birmingham City Schools, leaving a lasting impact through her years of service as an educator. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Ann found great joy in tending to her yard and working on the many projects in her beloved “Garden,” a passion she continued to enjoy until the end of her life. She will be fondly remembered by her several close friends, who will cherish her memory and miss her dearly.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Alpine Baptist Cemetery in Alpine, Alabama.
