Donna M Nichols

Donna Marie Nichols, age 70, of Trussville, Alabama, passed away on March 19th, 2026. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, on December 14th, 1955, Donna was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother (“Mimi”), sister, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Nora Reed, and her sister, Shirley Sellers.

Donna is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, Paul Nichols; her daughter, Jess Harbison (Matt); and her cherished grandsons, Rivers and Micah-Smith Harbison. She is also survived by her sister, Jo Ann Muir.

Donna grew up in Hueytown, Alabama, where she attended Hueytown High School. After graduating, she began a career in banking. It was through her work that she met a young police officer working security—who would soon become the love of her life. Donna and Paul were married on December 5th, 1981, and built a life together grounded in love and devotion.

As a young mother, Donna devoted herself to supporting Jess in all her many activities. In later years, she poured her love into her grandsons, whom she adored. More than anything, Donna cherished time with her family and never missed an opportunity to show them her love and support.

Visitation will be held on Monday March 23rd, from 10:00 a.m. at 11:00 a.m. Ridout's Trussville Chapel, followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. at Highland Memorial Gardens in Bessemer, Alabama, on the same day.
