

GRAY, DORIS ANN SIMPSON ODDO September 1936 June 1, 2013 Age 76 of Trussville, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013. Mrs. Gray grew up in Berry, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents Clifton Ormond Simpson and Hazel Madeline Kelosky, as well as her brother Thomas Clifton Simpson. She leaves to cherish her precious memory: Her loving husband, Euwell L. Gray; daughters: Yolanda Oddo Chasteen (David) of Pell City and Toni Oddo McClinton (Mike) of Trussville; stepsons: Butch Gray of Florida and James Gray (Connie) of Duncanville ; sister, Yvonne (Bonnie) Keath of Odenville; grandchildren: Yvette Boteler, Donald Boteler (Veronica), Shane Boteler (Katie), Alayna McClinton, Michael McClinton, Stan Gray (Virginia), Joey Gray (Courtney); and 11 great-grandchildren. She was one of the first women hired as a Birmingham Police Officer and later retired from the Alabama Dept. of Public Safety. Her quick wit and quirky sense of humor would always keep you laughing. Hospitality and graciousness were gifts that she generously shared with everyone who knew her. The family wishes to acknowledge with deep gratitude the dedicated care-giving provided by Dr. Roxanne Travelute, as well as Veresa Jones. Funeral services for Mrs. Gray will be held at Ridout's Trussville Chapel on Wednesday, June 5th, 2013. Visitation will be held from 11:00 to 1:00 P.M., with graveside following at 1:30 at Jefferson Memorial.
