

Doris Moore McCay, age 89 of Birmingham, AL passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019. She was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Doris for many years worked as office manager for her husband’s plumbing company, Crook’s Plumbing, but church and serving her Lord was her true calling. She was a past member of Huffman United Methodist Church, Roebuck Park Baptist Church, and later South Roebuck Baptist Church. She loved to serve as a Sunday school teacher, President of WMU, Outreach ministries, Home Bound ministries, Finance Committee, Search Committees, and even helped serve meals and clean in the kitchen. If she was asked she would always be there for her family, friends, and church. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Roy McCay; her son, Donald Roy McCay; and a twin brother, Donald Edward Moore; other brothers, Hugh Moore, Joe Moore, Gregory Moore; and parents, Deimer “Nick” and Ora Moore. She is survived by her loving family, her daughter, Janis White (Johnny); grandchildren, Staci Evans (Hunter), Kevin Renta (Roxanne), Kyle McCay, Patrick Renta, Haylee Jeely (Michael), and Peyton White (Chelsea); Also, six great grandchildren.
Chapel services will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel at 12noon and visitation will begin one hour prior to service time.
