Dorotha "Dot" H. Johnson

Dot was born in Vinemont, Alabama on December 11, 1925 to Trudy and Floyd Horton. She was a graduate of West Point High School and a faithful member of Huffman Baptist Church. She retired from Greyhound Bus Lines in Birmingham, Alabama after 64 years of service. She married Charles W. Johnson in 1946 and they shared 64 years together before his passing in 2008. He retied from Knapp Sales Company. Mrs. Johnson was highly respected by those whose lives she touched. Her and Charles raised two sons, Philip and Charlie Johnson; brother, Billy, Robert and Johnny Ray Horton and her sister, Honorie McKelvy.

She is survived by her son, Philip Johnson and daughter, Marsha Kilpatrick (Kent); grandchildren, Christian Kilpatrick, Crystal Kilpatrick, Adam Johnson, Breanna Brimberry (Jay) and Travis Johnson; two great grandchildren, Charlotte and Jeb Brimberry as well as many nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

Family will receive friends Monday Oct. 4, 2021 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel in Birmingham, Al. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM followed by graveside service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
