Dorothy Allbritton, Age 99, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020. She is preceded in death by her husband, W. Klyde Allbritton Jr., and her parents; G.D. Mitchell and Eula Murphy Mitchell. She is survived by her children: Paul Allbritton (Charlene), Laura Horne (Chris), grandchildren; Shannon Allbritton, Kristen Ewing and Britt Horne,and a great-grandchild; Grayson Ewing. Mrs. Allbritton was a valedictorian in high school and college. She loved cooking, gardening and sewing. She also managed her late husband's dental office. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Maple Parlor at Elmwood Chapel located at 800 Dennison Ave. SW Birmingham, AL 35211 followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow immediately at Elmwood Cemetery.
