Dorothy Wilder Thrasher, age 91, departed this world and peacefully entered into the arms of her heavenly Father on March 22, 2013. She was born on November 24, 1921 to the late James Newsom Wilder and Linna Belle Sims. Dorothy, lovingly known as MawMaw , was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her 2 children, 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Her greatest joys in life were her husband, family, friends and her church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, William Franklin Thrasher, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Thrasher Moman (Mike), of New Bern, NC., grandson, Lee Moman (Amy), great grandchildren Lazarus, Cyrus, and Marlowe of Raleigh, NC; her granddaughter, Rachel Moman Wood (Conrad), great grandchildren Asher, Haldo and Conrad, Jr. of Charlotte, NC; and her son, Bill Thrasher (Janet), of Hoover, AL; grandson Justin Braun (Holly), great granddaughter Peyton of Atlanta, GA; and grandson Ben Thrasher of Hoover, AL.
