Mr. Douglas Alan Bailey, 68, was born on January 25, 1957, and passed away on Thursday April 3, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents: Conrad and Patsy Bailey, his brother-in-law Bobby Campbell and nephew Jason Bailey.
He was a 1975 graduate of Ensley High School, a 1980 graduate of Auburn University, where he received his degree in mass communications, and a graduate from the UAB school of business and master’s program in 1990. He was retired from Regions Bank. He was a lifelong member of the Belview Heights Church of Christ and in recent years, the Pine Lane Church of Christ.
He is survived by his brother, Keith Bailey of Auburn, his sister, Connie Bailey Campbell of Alabaster, nephew Philip Bailey and family of Alabaster as well as numerous cousins.
His Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday April 22, 2025, at Elmwood Cemetery, with Alton Bailey officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home Tuesday, Johns Ridout’s Mortuary Elmwood Chapel is directing.
