

Dr. Bobby E. Pyle, age 81, of Clay was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 21, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Janice Spann Pyle; children James Aubrey Pyle (Pennie), Natasha Pyle Blair, and Laura Pyle Loggins (Dave); grandchildren James Ryan Pyle (Whitney), Trisha Ann Pyle, Christina Alexis Pyle, Aubrey Grace Blair, Noah Reginald Blair, Adrian Alexander Cruz Pyle, and Samuel Cruz Pyle; and his great-grandchildren William Hunter Pyle, Parker James Hoover, Lillian Christine Pyle, and James Ryan Pyle Jr..
He was predeceased by his son Bobby Eugene Pyle, Jr..
He served in the Naval Reserves and the US Army. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Alabama, Master of Science from Florida State University, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from Auburn University, an Associate of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Masters of Arts in Education from UAB.
Dr. Pyle was a research physicist at Southern Research Institute for 21 years and then taught high school Physics for 9 years.
He loved God, his family, math and science, and Auburn University.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 24, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:00 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 1:00 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Auburn University Scholarship Fund.
