Cleveland, Edith age 86, of Birmingham, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012. She was member of Lakewood Baptist Church. She loved teaching and sharing her love of Christ and Fellowship. She was a member of the Christians Women’s Club, loved gardening, being with her family, friends, and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her husband, George G. Cleveland; a son, Larry Cleveland; her sister, Betty Marie Franklin; a brother, Rufus Randolph Smith, Sr.; and her granddaughter, Ariel Cleveland. She is survived by her loving family, a daughter, Roxanne Cleveland; a son, Eddie Cleveland (Trish); her grandchildren, Brian Cleveland, Gini Coody (Wes), Lauren, Dylon, and Casey Cleveland; great grandchildren, Turner, Berkley, and Elle Coody.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 22, at 2 PM at the Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. E.L. Mullen will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
