

Ed attended White Station High School and was a graduate of Belmont University in Nashville and Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. He married the love of his life, Janela on August 4, 1972. Together created beautiful memories as they raised two wonderful children.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Trussville for several years where he remained heavily active and involved. He sang in the church choir and truly enjoyed singing with the SAM Vocal Band from First Baptist Church of Trussville.
Ed was a huge Alabama football fan. In his spare time, he enjoyed working and tending to his yard. He loved to travel all over the world; Alaska, Hawaii and the Bahama’s were just a few of his favorite places to make memories. Ed’s fondest memories were spending holidays with his family and spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren. He was incredibly proud of each of them.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Janela Brint Hollis; their two children, Edwin Brint Hollis (Christine) and Andrea Hollis Knight (Shane); his five grandchildren, Isabel and Elias Hollis, Christian, Natalie and Lakin Knight. To cherish his memory, he also leaves behind a sister, Cynthia Harris (Ken) and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A memorial service for Ed will be held on Monday, August 3rd at First Baptist Church of Trussville 128 N Chalkville Rd. Trussville AL 35173 at 1:00 p.m. Family and friends will gather at the church two hours prior to the service.
In honor of Ed memorial may be made to The SAM Vocal Band and the SAM Ministry of First Baptist Church of Trussville.
